Many believers hold on to Ex.22:18 where God told the Children of Israel not to allow a witch to remain alive. The children of Israel were not told to pray that the witches among them should die but were expected to take them and kill them physically (Ex. 22:18; Deut. 18:9-12; Lev 20:27; 1Sam 28:7-10).
If we are to act like people of the old covenant, then we should take every witch in our environment and kill them physically like the children of Israel were commanded to do. You will agree with me that we cannot do this today because the law of our land and the new covenant does not allow us to do so.
I know you will want to say that we can now kill them spiritually. Well, if this were to be the case then we would have been instructed to do so in the new covenant. I urge you to check out the entire New Testament and you will not find one place where we are told to pray that witches or our enemies should die.
However you will find repeatedly (as I have shown exhaustively in previous modules in this series) that we are to walk in love towards God and our neighbours (which includes witches) even when they do evil against us.
In the Old Covenant there was no provision for demons to be cast out of people hence God instructed them to kill any person found to be a witch. However in the New Covenant Jesus died for all humanity including witches and there is now a provision to cast out the spirit of witchcraft from those who are possessed with it such that they can become saved and filled with the Holy Spirit.
Jesus demonstrated this during His earthly ministry on several occasions. He cast out seven demons from Mary Magdalene. The Apostle also did the same.
In the next module, I will share just two of the several encounters I have had with Witches in which they were not only delivered from the spirit of witchcraft but were saved, and immediately filled with the Holy Spirit.
