HEAVEN & THE KINGDOM OF GOD [Pt 7] - Awe Hilary

HEAVEN & THE KINGDOM OF GOD [Pt 7]

..... Discovering Heaven.

- Awe Hilary

In the previous part of this series, I highlighted three qualities that gives true definition to the Kingdom of God, and they are;

1. The blessing of God, which confers an atmosphere of legitimacy which grants access to all possibilities in God.

2. Fruitfulness and multiplication, which is not limited to abundance or Numbers, but in the replication of the plan and purpose of God on the earth.

3. Delegated authority to express power in dominion to all that was created and placed in the care of Adam.

Moreover, in order to have proper context and understanding to what the Kingdom of God is and how it functions, these items as listed above will broken down and linked to the very beginning as narrated in the creation of the first Adam.

The blessing of God is one of the most critical aspects of the Kingdom of God which distinguishes its citizens from other kingdoms. It is actually deeper than what many think it is, as many have restricted it to materialism and earthly possession. The first activity God performed on the first Adam after creation, was to bless him and also his wife Eve.

Genesis 1:28

[28]Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

In the above scriptures, God blessed them before He spoke fruitfulness, multiplication, and dominion into their lives. It sounds like a tautology right? Why did God not just speak those words of fruitfulness and dominion, and get it all done with?

The blessing God gave to the first Adam and his wife , Eve, WAS A CONFERMENT OF HIS PRESENCE, and all that followed suit after then, were declerations of His authority by virtue of His vested presence in the life of Adam and Eve.

The presence of God has always been the defining factor that describes the Kingdom of God and her citizens, and this is the symbol of the blessing of God.

In the next part of this article, we would trace this pattern from Prophet Noah to Abraham, down to Isaac and Ishmael, which would enable us to understand the message of God to the people of the earth.

THINGS TO NOTE:

1. The blessing of God is the presence of God in His Kingdom.

2. Material possessions does not define the blessing in the Kingdom of God.

3. All members of God's Kingdom are blessed which is irrespective of material and social status.

4. The blessing of God is a work of grace and not by works.

PRAYER OF SALVATION:

1. Lord I am a sinner, please forgive me of my sins, and wash me with the blood of Jesus Christ.

2. I accept You as Lord and Savior, come into my life and dwell with me forever.

3. I am blessed by Your presence. Thank you Jesus Christ.
