THE BELIEVER'S RIGHTEOUSNESS IN GOD [Pt 5B]
THE BELIEVER'S RIGHTEOUSNESS IN GOD [Pt 5B]
- Awe Hilary
The Story of Noah and the flood was so important, that Jesus Christ had to re-echoe it. The story holds a great symbolism of what is to come, and while people are pre-occupied with the activities of the world, there lies a great calling, just like the days of the flood.
Matthew 24:37-39
[37]But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.
[38]For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark,
[39]and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.
The narration of the Story of Noah and the Ark, draws us to the attention of God's love, who desires to redeem and save mankind from impending calamity and destruction, while He respects our ability to make choices.
Hebrews 11:7
[7]By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.
Moreover, it is important to note that those who died in the flood, where not destroyed because God wanted to get rid of them so badly, but because they rejected the message and did not act in faith to come into the Ark of salvation. If animals who were labelled as unclean, still had a chance to be saved, then those who were destroyed also had their own time, but they did not take heed to the message.
2 Peter 2:5
[5]and did not spare the ancient world, but saved Noah, one of eight people , a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood on the world of the ungodly;
THINGS TO NOTE:
1. The Message of Jesus Christ is being preached everywhere today, but are you ignoring it, just like they did to prophet Noah?
2. You will be destroyed by God, not because He hates you, but because you rejected to be saved through Jesus Christ.
3. Your destination is your choice - Eternal life or Eternal damnation, but however, God is able to fulfill His promise and save to the uttermost through Jesus Christ, who is the Messiah.
.... TO BE CONTINUED.
