DISOBEDIENCE: THE SHACKLES OF SLAVERY AND DEATH

I once faced a stiff opposition on one of the social media platforms, by a group of atheist who quarreled me about my post on the goodness of God,with reasons to justify their claims that God was not good but wicked. They went on by leaving trails of unsolicited messages on my twitter handle "demonizing the image of God", and painting pictures from their reprobate minds of a "wicked God" who supports slavery and murder citing several instances in the Holy Bible. The Bible in the Book of Isaiah 45:9 which says "Woe to him who quarrels with his maker, to him who is but a potsherd among the potsherds on the ground. Does the clay say to the porter, What are you making? Does your work say, He has no hands?". There are many people in the world today like the atheist aforementioned, who justify their woes and failures, by using it as an evidence to accuse God of being wicked and failing in His responsibility as God. These set of people lack knowledge and understanding, and as a result their minds have been captured and made a temple of Satan. To those who hold this view, I would say to you, that whatever name you choose to call God, He still remains the same today and forever. The remarks of men concerning God, or their opinions in matters relating to Him cannot and will not change His personality.

The act of disobedience, is the failure or refusal to obey the commandments or observe the ordinances of God. It is an incomplete obedience that can be considered as an act of rebellion, and this leads to grave consequences. The Bible in the Book of Deuteronomy 30:19 which says "This day, I call heaven and earth as witness against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live". These were the words of God through His prophet Moses, placing in the hands of man the power of choice with heaven and earth as a witness, but admonishing him to make the right choice by choosing life. The act of calling heaven and earth as a witness against man, if he fails to comply with God's standard, absolves God of any wrongdoing. The implication of this statement is that, whenever a man fails to comply or obey God's words, heaven and earth swing into action to enforce and implement what has been spoken by God with respect to the day the covenant was made. How then can a man blame God, if the man chooses death instead of life? Apostle Paul in his letter to the church in Rome, stated that " What if some did not have faith? Will their lack of faith nullify God's faithfulness? Not at all! Let God be true, and every man a liar. As it is written: so that you may be proved right when you speak and prevail when you judge. But if our unrighteousness brings out God's righteousness more clearly, what shall we say? That God is unjust in bringing his wrath on us? (I am using a human argument). Certainly not! If that were so, how could God judge the world? Someone might argue, if my falsehood enhances God's truthfulness and so increase his glory, why am I still condemned as a sinner? Why not say- as we are being slanderously reported as saying and as some claim that we say- Let us do evil that good may result? Their condemnation is deserved".

The personality called man, became a slave to sin by a single act of disobedience which lead to his shameful exit from the Garden of Eden. The act of sin is an enforcer of slavery which leads to death. Apostle Paul in the Book of Romans 6:16 which contains his letter to the Roman Church, painted a perfect picture of this by saying that we are slaves to the one we offer ourselves to, whether to sin which leads to death or to obedience which leads to righteousness. Sin deprives us from the rights and privileges accorded to sons and daughters of God, while enforcing God's wrath upon us through His word. Consequently, just as the result of one trespass was condemnation for all men, so also the result of one act of righteousness was justification that brings life for all men. For just as through the disobedience of  one man, made many sinners, so also through the obedience of one man, many were made righteous. (Romans 5:18-19).

However, our Lord Jesus Christ came to earth in human form to change the Status quo and the slavery status of man by laying down His life on the cross. The implication of this great sacrifice is that, the shackles confining man to a death sentence has been broken, hence man is restored to his rightful position as a son or daughter of Zion. The gift of freedom offered by Jesus Christ was given freely to mankind, and God expects us to remain in freedom by obeying His word, because anytime a man sins, he re-enacts the same events that led him into slavery, thereby forfeiting his freedom.

Moreover, for us to enjoy the favor and blessings of God, we must as a matter of urgency discard sin from our lives. because it deprives us from our daily manna. Apostle Paul wrote in his letter to the Roman Church saying "What benefit did you reap at that time from the things you are now ashamed of? Those things result in death! But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves to God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord".

PLEASE GIVE YOUR LIFE TO JESUS CHRIST NOW AND REPENT FROM ALL YOUR SINS, BECAUSE THE NEXT SECOND MIGHT BE TOO LATE.

Story of how LESTER SUMRALL met with HOWARD CARTER

LESTER Sumrall was a 20th century giant of faith, and worldwide missionary statesman, who demonstrated the power of the gospel in his pastoral and evangelical ministry. He also had a personal relationship with Smith Wigglesworth. And travelled widely with Howard Carter. This, culled from Dr. Sumrall's 'Pioneers of Faith', is the story of how he met Mr. Carter. It was 1932. Brother Lester was 19, and brother Howard was 41: I was sitting in a little church in Tennessee looking at the young man who was leading the music. Suddenly, the scene before me vanished, and I saw thousands of Japanese, Chinese, Lndians, Malaysians, Indonesians, Indians, Africans, Latin Americans, Europeans and people from the ocean islands on one road going one direction ...Trembling and crying, I asked, "What shall I do?" God said, "You have to go to these people." I said, "I don't like those people. I have never seen a Japanese person in my life. I don't know tho...

THE OLD CONVENANT IS A SHADOW OF THE NEW CONVENANT [pt 4] - Min. Awe Hilary

It is an interesting fact to know that 99.99% of most religions practiced today are imitations of either the Mosaic law as given to the Jews by God or idolatry as invented by men through the interface of spiritual entities as a way of worship. Idol worship and the Mosaic law are the oldest well known religious institutions that have existed on the earth. The Mosaic law which is the Old Convenant is a shadow of the New Convenant which could not come into effect as long as the law was still in place. Hebrews 9:8 [AMP]: By this the Holy Spirit signifies that the way into the Holy Place [the true Holy of Holies and the presence of God] has not yet been disclosed as long as the first or outer tabernacle is still standing [that is, as long as the Levitical system of worship remains a recognized institution]. More also, if the Old Convenant is a shadow of the New Convenant, then it signifies that they both have One Spirit [The Spirit of God], same pattern with different realities but one purp...
