ACTIVATING THE FIRE FOR THE RACE (1)

(JEREMIAH 20:9) “Then I said, I will not make mention of him, nor speak any more in his name. But his word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing and I could not stay.

Child of God for you to run through this year, the very race which the Lord has set before you and win, you need the fire that will keep you consistent in what you are doing. Where there is no fire, men lack the passion to be consistent in what they do, and without consistency vision will be crippled and mission will be aborted in life. Even your services to God become burdensome to you where the fire is lacking.

As you go through this year, ensure you carry enough fuel for the race. Fire is divine stamina or fuel given to a man for conquest and accomplishment of destiny mandate. As you run through this year I want you to know you are like a double exhaust car, don’t carry only fire for your modern things and leave the one for the kingdom of God behind for I tell that wouldn’t help you, you exist for God and all you do this year must carry the interest of God if you want a fruitful year.

How do we activate this fire?
1. In the place of prayer and fasting: begin the year praying and fasting, don’t dodge the fasting time organize by the church at the beginning of the year.

2. The place of submission: ensure you submit to authorities over you, your pastor and leaders. Submission to pastoral and scriptural instruction will keep your fire burning

3. Stay in the company of those that carry fire: don’t company with that lack fire in the things of God.

Meditation: Where there is no fire men lack the passion to be consistent in what they do, and without consistency vision will be crippled and mission will be aborted in life

Prayer: Oh lord I contact fire the race you had set before this year.

RM:  The Covenant and the Fire.
DBR: 2 Samuel 11-15

Story of how LESTER SUMRALL met with HOWARD CARTER

LESTER Sumrall was a 20th century giant of faith, and worldwide missionary statesman, who demonstrated the power of the gospel in his pastoral and evangelical ministry. He also had a personal relationship with Smith Wigglesworth. And travelled widely with Howard Carter. This, culled from Dr. Sumrall's 'Pioneers of Faith', is the story of how he met Mr. Carter. It was 1932. Brother Lester was 19, and brother Howard was 41: I was sitting in a little church in Tennessee looking at the young man who was leading the music. Suddenly, the scene before me vanished, and I saw thousands of Japanese, Chinese, Lndians, Malaysians, Indonesians, Indians, Africans, Latin Americans, Europeans and people from the ocean islands on one road going one direction ...Trembling and crying, I asked, "What shall I do?" God said, "You have to go to these people." I said, "I don't like those people. I have never seen a Japanese person in my life. I don't know tho...

THE OLD CONVENANT IS A SHADOW OF THE NEW CONVENANT [pt 4] - Min. Awe Hilary

It is an interesting fact to know that 99.99% of most religions practiced today are imitations of either the Mosaic law as given to the Jews by God or idolatry as invented by men through the interface of spiritual entities as a way of worship. Idol worship and the Mosaic law are the oldest well known religious institutions that have existed on the earth. The Mosaic law which is the Old Convenant is a shadow of the New Convenant which could not come into effect as long as the law was still in place. Hebrews 9:8 [AMP]: By this the Holy Spirit signifies that the way into the Holy Place [the true Holy of Holies and the presence of God] has not yet been disclosed as long as the first or outer tabernacle is still standing [that is, as long as the Levitical system of worship remains a recognized institution]. More also, if the Old Convenant is a shadow of the New Convenant, then it signifies that they both have One Spirit [The Spirit of God], same pattern with different realities but one purp...
