The knowledge of the truth is the power that sets a person
free from both physical and spiritual bondage.
"And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make
you free" -John 8:32 (NKJV)
The quest for the truth is an individual race, and should be
taken very seriously because an individual's freedom is premised on it.
Truth is the acquisition of Godly information through the
teachings and inspiration of the Holy Spirit (John 14:26), hence no man or
woman can have access to Godly information or know the mind of God without it
being revealed by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Bible in the book of 1 Corinthians
2: 11 says;
"For what man knows the things of a man except the
spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God
except the Spirit of God"
The Holy Spirit has the exclusive right to every information
pertaining to the things of God, and He reveals to us certain information that will enable us to know the
truth and live the truth (1 John 1:6). God has become a fictional character to
many, and the Holy Bible the figment of imagination, because the Holy Spirit is
absent in the lives of these individuals, and as a result, they are totally
shut out from Godly information that would help them discern the truth.
The daily acquisition of Godly information, gives us a
knowledge base which empowers us with an uncommon wisdom, which directs us towards
and through the path of truth. Wisdom is the accurate application of knowledge
derived from our daily acquisition of Godly information through the teachings and inspiration
of the Holy Spirit, to direct us through the path of truth, hence you cannot
walk on the path of truth when you do not have the Spirit of God through which Godly information is revealed.
The Holy Bible in the book of Proverb 14:12, tells us that,
there is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways
of death. This is the irony of many today, as every way has become a way,
because flesh and blood does not reveal the path of truth, but only through the
Spirit of God (Holy Spirit). Jesus Christ asked His disciples when He came into
the region of Caesarea, saying " who do men say that I, the Son of
Man, am?" and the disciples answered Him, saying
"Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, others Jeremiah, or one of the
prophets", but when He asked His disciples about His identity,
Simon Peter answered saying "You are the Christ, the Son of the
living God". Simon Peter's answer necessitated Jesus Christ to
reply him saying "Blessed are you, Simon Bar Jonah, for flesh and blood has not
revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven" -Mathew
16:17 (NKJV). Simon Peter's response to
Jesus Christ about His identity was not based on human perception which was the
case of others who called Jesus Christ different names, but through revelation.
However, in the world today, there are millions of people who
have missed the path of truth, because they try to explain the personality of
Jesus Christ and the mysteries of God using human intuition, hence they have
resulted in mistaken the identity of Jesus Christ for someone else. Jesus
Christ is still asking that question to millions of souls in the world, saying
"Who do you say I am?"
The accurate answer to this question lies in the possession
of the Holy Spirit, and the day He reveals it to you like Simon Peter, that is
the beginning of your salvation experience. Our Lord Jesus Christ, qualified
Himself in the book of John 4:16, as the way, the truth and the life. This scripture can be explained thus: I am the way of the truth that leads to life, and no man can come unto the Father, except they pass through the way
of the truth that leads to life (Jesus Christ).
Moreover, if you have been attempting to use your head
knowledge to discover the way of the truth that leads to life (Jesus Christ) ,
I am very sure that you will never find Him, because flesh and blood cannot reveal His identity, but only through the revelation of the Holy Spirit, who is the custodian of Godly information.
Jesus Christ is calling you today unto Himself, because He is the only way that leads to life, and His personality can only be revealed through the Holy Spirit.
PRAYER POINT:
O God my Father, reveal Yourself to me and lead me through the way of truth that leads to life in Jesus name, amen.
