MY SEASON OF OVERFLOWING BLESSING'S -Awe Hilary

On the 24th of March, 2018, I was privileged to minister to the children of God at the City of God Healing and deliverance Ministry, Lokoja, Nigeria, on the their 5th year anniversary.

The 5th year anniversary of the Church was themed Global Harvest of Overflowing Blessings.

In my message to the Church titled My Season of Overflowing Blessings, we looked at biblical definitions and descriptions of blessings which are usually overlooked by many believers, and how we can key into the blessings of God.

MY SEASON OF OVERFLOWING BLESSINGS:

In the beginning God created the lights in the firmament of heaven to divide the day from the night, and also for signs and for seasons (Genesis 1:14). Seasons are a function of time, and time is a revelation of season's. Everything that was created by God under heaven was placed in a time based environment which reflects the purpose of creation.

" To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven" ~Ecclesiates 3:1 (KJV).

To everything that was created by God, He created with a purpose, and time is the revelation of the purpose of creation and this constitutes a season. In order words, season is the revelation of the purpose of a thing through time.

God created time and He uses time to reveal His purpose and promises for our lives. The revelation of God's purpose and promises for our lives through time can be termed as season's of blessings. God blesses us in various ways, as He showers us with gifts to aid us both physically and spiritually.

However, below are three ways through which God blesses us, thus bringing forth season's of blessings:

1. WHEN GOD SUPPLIES ALL YOUR NEEDS ACCORDING TO HIS RICHES IN GLORY -Phillipians 4:19

Man has needs, and his needs are not only limited to physical needs alone, but also spiritual needs. Man can indeed not live by bread alone, but requires a spiritual bread (THE WORD OF GOD) to survive.

God is the creator of everything, both physical and spiritual in nature, hence placing Him as the provider of every man's need. He is the custodian of everything we need to survive, both physically and spiritually, and He has instructed us to always look up to Him for our supplies.

Moreover God loads us with daily benefits (Psalm 68:19) to sustain us throughout all seasons, whether it be the season of abundance or scarcity. The air we breath every second at no cost is provided by God, the rain which waters the soil is provided by God, the food we eat is also provided by God. There is nothing a man owns or claims ownership of, that is not given to him by God. Hence searching for our provisions outside God, will only lead to an action in futility. He remains true to His word in ensuring that we are catered for throughout our life time on earth and also in eternity.

2. WHEN GOD REBUKES THE DEVOURER -Malachi 3:1

A devourer is anything that would not allow us to enjoy God's provision. It can be sickness, disease, affliction etc. The purpose of the devourer is to waste the intent of God's provision on things that does not glorify  His name.

However, when God rebukes the devourer, it affords us the opportunity of harvesting the potential of God's provision for the glorification of His name, fulfilment of destiny and the general well being of the society. The proper channelling of God's provision for our lives with the devourer placed under control by the power of God, gives man the opportunity of living a purposeful life.

3. THE PROMISE OF ETERNAL INHERITANCE OF GOD'S KINGDOM WITH CHRIST -Romans 8:17

We cannot talk about blessings without making reference to the Kingdom of God. In fact we cannot say we are blessed if we have no hope of reigning with Christ as co heirs in the Kingdom of God. This is the most important promise bestowed on man by God through the death of His son, Jesus Christ, that mortality will inherit immortality. This is the hope we have through Jesus Christ, that a better life awaits us after our exit from earth.

However, let us not forget that our material needs and desires would pass away once we exit this world (Earth), but the hope of reigning with Christ in the Kingdom of God makes us a blessed generation and a Holy priesthood through Christ who is our high priest, thereby affording us the privileges attached to the kingdom of God even after our exit from the earth.

HOW DO WE BECOME PARTAKERS OF GOD'S BLESSINGS?

1. SURRENDER YOUR LIFE TO CHRIST:

What will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and looses his soul? Material blessings are to provide us with some level of comfort as we traverse the earth, but the gift of salvation through the death of Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary is to accord us both earthly and Heavenly recognition unto eternity. Life without Christ is short and ends the day you exit this world, but accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal Saviour gives you the access to eternity with privileges and provisions that are far more beautiful with eternal value.

2. HOLINESS AND RIGHTEOUSNESS:

Holiness and righteousness gives us access to God's provisions and promises. There are provisions made by God which are general, but Holiness and righteousness through Jesus Christ qualifies us to have provisions and promises meant for sons and daughters. Access to the Father (God) can only be guaranteed through Jesus Christ, and no one can claim to be righteous without Jesus Christ, because we are the righteousness of God in Christ. Jesus Christ is essential for a life to be Holy and righteous, because without Him, we are limited in both physical and spiritual resources which are essential for us to live a purposeful life.

3. SOW INTO GOD'S KINGDOM:

Sowing into God's Kingdom gives you a secured investment, by storing up treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal (Mathew 6:20). To everyone that sows, there is a time for harvest, and whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, but he who says generously will also reap generously (2Corinthians 9:6)

Investing in God's Kingdom is asking God to invest in your life, hence it has both physical and spiritual benefits which can activate a person to live in a realm of all round blessings.

4. PRAYER:

God has given man the power to make demand for both his physical needs and also his spiritual needs, while also giving him the authority through Jesus Christ to pull down forces that might want to deprive him of his entitlements. In the book of John 14:13-14, God gives us a blank Cheque through the name of Jesus Christ, that whatever we ask will be done for us, while also giving us the assurance of authority to either bind and loose anything in the earth that could either be detrimental or beneficial to our lives through prayer.

Our season of overflowing blessings is tied to Jesus Christ, and what He did for us on the Cross, for it is only through Him we can harvest the purpose of God for our lives for the fulfilment of destiny.

God bless you.

Story of how LESTER SUMRALL met with HOWARD CARTER

LESTER Sumrall was a 20th century giant of faith, and worldwide missionary statesman, who demonstrated the power of the gospel in his pastoral and evangelical ministry. He also had a personal relationship with Smith Wigglesworth. And travelled widely with Howard Carter. This, culled from Dr. Sumrall's 'Pioneers of Faith', is the story of how he met Mr. Carter. It was 1932. Brother Lester was 19, and brother Howard was 41: I was sitting in a little church in Tennessee looking at the young man who was leading the music. Suddenly, the scene before me vanished, and I saw thousands of Japanese, Chinese, Lndians, Malaysians, Indonesians, Indians, Africans, Latin Americans, Europeans and people from the ocean islands on one road going one direction ...Trembling and crying, I asked, "What shall I do?" God said, "You have to go to these people." I said, "I don't like those people. I have never seen a Japanese person in my life. I don't know tho...

THE OLD CONVENANT IS A SHADOW OF THE NEW CONVENANT [pt 4] - Min. Awe Hilary

It is an interesting fact to know that 99.99% of most religions practiced today are imitations of either the Mosaic law as given to the Jews by God or idolatry as invented by men through the interface of spiritual entities as a way of worship. Idol worship and the Mosaic law are the oldest well known religious institutions that have existed on the earth. The Mosaic law which is the Old Convenant is a shadow of the New Convenant which could not come into effect as long as the law was still in place. Hebrews 9:8 [AMP]: By this the Holy Spirit signifies that the way into the Holy Place [the true Holy of Holies and the presence of God] has not yet been disclosed as long as the first or outer tabernacle is still standing [that is, as long as the Levitical system of worship remains a recognized institution]. More also, if the Old Convenant is a shadow of the New Convenant, then it signifies that they both have One Spirit [The Spirit of God], same pattern with different realities but one purp...
