The High Priest of the New Convenant, Who is Jesus Christ, never at any time of His life on earth enter into the the Most Holy place of the tabernacle which was built with men's hand as instituted by the Mosaic law. This is because Jesus Christ was the high priest of a greater and more perfect tabernacle than that of the Mosaic law.
Hebrews 9:11 [AMP]:
But when Christ appeared as a High Priest of the good things to come [that is, true spiritual worship], He entered through the greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not a part of this [material] creation.
More also, Jesus Christ was not an earthly priest who was appointed to offer gifts and sacrifices to a tabernacle which served as a shadow of the heavenly things, because the Mosaic law mandates that the earthly priests according to the precepts of the law must come from the household of Levy, who are the Levites, appointed for the service of the tarbenacle.
Hebrews 8:4 [AMP]:
Now if He were [still living] on earth, He would not be a priest at all, for there are priests who offer the gifts [to God] in accordance with the Law.
Hebrews 8:5 [AMP]:
They serve as a pattern and foreshadowing of [what has its true existence and reality in] the heavenly things (sanctuary). For when Moses was about to erect the tabernacle, he was warned by God, saying, “SEE THAT YOU MAKE it all [exactly] ACCORDING TO THE PATTERN WHICH WAS SHOWN TO YOU ON THE MOUNTAIN.”
This is also indicative of the fact that a testament or a will cannot come into effect until the death of the person who made it is established, hence the New Convenant could not come into effect when the Old Convenant [Mosaic Law] was still in place.
Hebrews 9:17 [AMP]:
for a will and testament takes effect [only] at death, since it is never in force as long as the one who made it is alive.
It is interesting to know that the revelation of Jesus Christ which Apostle John had at the Island of Patmos about the tabernacle of God in heaven, confirmed that the pattern that was shown to Moses the Prophet, was a copy of what already existed in heaven.
Revelation 1:9 [AMP]:
I, John, your brother and companion in the tribulation and kingdom and patient endurance which are in Jesus, was on the island called Patmos, [exiled there] because of [my preaching of] the word of God [regarding eternal salvation] and the testimony of Jesus Christ.
Revelation 1:10 [AMP]:
was in the Spirit [in special communication with the Holy Spirit and empowered to receive and record the revelation from Jesus Christ] on the Lord’s Day, and I heard behind me a loud voice like the sound of a trumpet,
Revelation 1:11 [AMP]:
saying, “Write on a scroll what you see [in this revelation], and send it to the seven churches—to Ephesus and to Smyrna and to Pergamum and to Thyatira and to Sardis and to Philadelphia and to Laodicea.”
The earthly tabernacle had the Holy place, and through a curtain the High Priest could enter the Most Holy Place, hence Apostle John was taken into the Holy Place in the tabernacle of God in heaven first, where he saw the following;
1. THE LAMPSTAND
Apostle John saw seven golden lampstands when he was taken up in the spirit. These lampstands were made of gold.
Revelation 1:12[AMP]:
Then I turned to see the voice that was speaking with me. And after turning I saw seven golden lampstands;
It is interesting to note that there was a record of seven lampstands made with gold in the Holy place of the earthly tabernacle in the era of the Mosaic law.
Exodus 25:37 [AMP]:
Then you shall make the lamps [of the lampstand] seven in number [with one lamp at the top of the shaft]. The priests shall set up its seven lamps so that they will light the space in front of it.
The seven lampstands in the Holy place of the tabernacle of God in heaven, is representative of the Church of Jesus Christ on earth which carries the presence of God, offering light not just to the Holy Place in heaven but to the earth, just like the lampstand in the earthly tabernacle illuminated the Holy place in the era of the Mosaic law.
