Lesson 3:THE PRINCIPLES AND POWER OF VISION

BOOK REVIEW:

Author: Dr. Myles Munroe

Pages: 236

LESSON 3:

1. Many people's vision never take specific shape because they can't make up their mind's on what they want to do in life. The only decision they make is not to decide.

2. Our lives should be filled with wills rather than mere wishes. God has invested so much in our lives and He hates to see us wasting our lives in wishful thinking. He wants us to place our feet on the solid ground of vision.

3. When you truly understand the difference between mission and vision, you will be protected from jealousy. When you have discovered your own vision, you don't need to be jealous of anyone.

4. Many Churches mistake mission for vision. The great commission is the co- mission  of the church, which is every Christians mission. If a church thinks it's particular vision is to preach the gospel, then it has a mistaken identity of vision. It's knows the mission but has not found it's true vision in the mission.

5. We must cooperate with those whom we share a corporate vision with. If you have a corporate vision with a person, then you need each other in the fulfilment of your visions.

" God is not against you. He is for you. He still has a definite plan and purpose for your life inspite of your background or your mistakes. No matter what you have done, God is not finished until He has completed what He created you to be and do." - Dr Myles Monroe

Story of how LESTER SUMRALL met with HOWARD CARTER

LESTER Sumrall was a 20th century giant of faith, and worldwide missionary statesman, who demonstrated the power of the gospel in his pastoral and evangelical ministry. He also had a personal relationship with Smith Wigglesworth. And travelled widely with Howard Carter. This, culled from Dr. Sumrall's 'Pioneers of Faith', is the story of how he met Mr. Carter. It was 1932. Brother Lester was 19, and brother Howard was 41: I was sitting in a little church in Tennessee looking at the young man who was leading the music. Suddenly, the scene before me vanished, and I saw thousands of Japanese, Chinese, Lndians, Malaysians, Indonesians, Indians, Africans, Latin Americans, Europeans and people from the ocean islands on one road going one direction ...Trembling and crying, I asked, "What shall I do?" God said, "You have to go to these people." I said, "I don't like those people. I have never seen a Japanese person in my life. I don't know tho...

THE OLD CONVENANT IS A SHADOW OF THE NEW CONVENANT [pt 4] - Min. Awe Hilary

It is an interesting fact to know that 99.99% of most religions practiced today are imitations of either the Mosaic law as given to the Jews by God or idolatry as invented by men through the interface of spiritual entities as a way of worship. Idol worship and the Mosaic law are the oldest well known religious institutions that have existed on the earth. The Mosaic law which is the Old Convenant is a shadow of the New Convenant which could not come into effect as long as the law was still in place. Hebrews 9:8 [AMP]: By this the Holy Spirit signifies that the way into the Holy Place [the true Holy of Holies and the presence of God] has not yet been disclosed as long as the first or outer tabernacle is still standing [that is, as long as the Levitical system of worship remains a recognized institution]. More also, if the Old Convenant is a shadow of the New Convenant, then it signifies that they both have One Spirit [The Spirit of God], same pattern with different realities but one purp...
