 HEAVEN & THE KINGDOM OF GOD [Pt 9]

From the inception of the beginning, God's intention on the earth is to establish His Kingdom where His will would be carried out, as mankind submits to His authority. He started with the first Adam, but he disobeyed the word of God, which showcased his lack of submission to the divine authority of God. 

God also sought Cain and Abel who were children of the first Adam; Abel offered an offering of faith unto God, but his brother Cain did not, and in turn, Cain killed his brother, Abel.

Genesis 4:8-10

[8]Now Cain talked with Abel his brother; and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother and killed him.

[9]Then the Lord said to Cain, “Where is Abel your brother?” He said, “I do not know. Am I my brother’s keeper?”

[10]And He said, “What have you done? The voice of your brother’s blood cries out to Me from the ground.

God has always sought for men, because His Kingdom would be established on the earth through them, hence He sought for yet another man in the person of Noah, who found favour in the sight of God. This was a time when God sought to destroy men and beast on the earth because there were no longer in alignment to the tenets and principles that depict His Kingdom, for which they were created.

Genesis 6:5-8

[5]Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

[6]And the Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart.

[7]So the Lord said, “I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them.”

[8]But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord. Noah Pleases God

One of the most significant events in the life of Noah before his procession into the ark, was the promise of the establishment of a Convenant with God. This is very important because the Convenant of God is the conveyance of the Word which is the embodiment of the presence of God.

Genesis 6:18

[18]But I will establish My covenant with you; and you shall go into the ark—you, your sons, your wife, and your sons’ wives with you.

THINGS TO NOTE:

1. God honours His Word above His name, hence the Convenant of God is embodiment of His Word, which He never fails to honor.

2. Anytime God's Convenant is established, His presence is there to protect the integrity of His Word.

3. The Kingdom of God operates on the foundational principle of His Convenant. It's practically impossible to make reference to God's Kingdom with the exclusion of His Convenant.
