HEAVEN & THE KINGDOM OF GOD [Pt 15]
..... Discovering Heaven.

Pt 8:
The promise of a SEED or an OFFSPRING who would come from the Convenant, and through Whom all Nations shall be blessed [Genesis 22:18].
In the concluding part of this series, we highlight the integrity of God's Word in bringing to pass His salvific work in Abraham through the prophecy of a SEED, who will unite all Nations under one God.
Genesis 22:18
[18]In your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice.”
This seed is the prophecy of Jesus Christ, Who have come to reconcile all men to God. The fulfilment of this prophecy in Jesus Christ gives validation to the integrity of God's Word and credence to the fact that mankind's salvation was on Gods account and not on men's effort.
Galatians 3:16
[16]Now to Abraham and his Seed were the promises made. He does not say, “And to seeds,” as of many, but as of one, “And to your Seed,” who is Christ.
The promise of God to Abraham was established in the Covenant which was four hundred and thirty years before the establishment of the Law through prophet Moses.
Galatians 3:17
[17]And this I say, that the law, which was four hundred and thirty years later, cannot annul the covenant that was confirmed before by God in Christ, that it should make the promise of no effect.
Moreover, the Law and it's practices cannot lead to the inheritance of the promise, because Abraham did not obtain the promise through his efforts, neither was the Law at that time in effect.
Galatians 3:18
[18]For if the inheritance is of the law, it is no longer of promise; but God gave it to Abraham by promise.
However, no one can obtain the promise of God outside Abraham, neither can the promise be inherited outside the Covenant made by God to Abraham which is established in Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ is the fulfilment of God's promise to Abraham, and the purpose of that promise was to;
1. The establishment of the Kingdom of God on the earth.
2. To give humanity entrance into the Kingdom of God through the Covenant in Abraham, which is established in Jesus Christ.
3. That the sonship in Abraham will not be of physical birth but of spiritual origin.
4. That the salvation of mankind will be through the Covenant, a free gift of God to all who are in the Covenant.
5. That the appropriation of the inheritance, would be on the integrity of the initiator (God), and not of the achievement of those to whom the promise was made.
THINGS TO NOTE:
1. God is only obligated to fulfill His Covenant.
2. The Covenant qualifies you as a beneficiary of the promise.
3. The promise establishes your inheritance in the Covenant.
4. It does not matter what race you are from, or what religion you profess, if you are not in the Covenant of God which was from the time of Abraham, and established in Jesus Christ, you have no inheritance with God. Also, if you have no inheritance in God, then you are not a part of Him. Furthermore, those who are not part of Him, are not members of the Kingdom of God, hence they will have no rest in God.
