THE HIGHWAY TO HELL

Humans are on a journey to a destination of choice, and as the day passes by, the total length of their journey diminishes. The more the day progresses, the closer they approach their exit from the realm called earth . Death is an inevitable occurrence which is a gateway to two destinations (Heaven and Hell), but an individuals destination, is directly proportional to the decisions made by him/her while  on earth, either to die after death or to live after death

The Bible in the book of Proverbs 16:25 says “there is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death”. The word “death” as used here, does not literally refer to the inevitable phenomenon of "death" which everyone must go through before arriving at a final destination of choice, but the eternal ruin and damnation that any human will face after death, as a result of sin. This is the highway to hell. 

Today, humans are involved in a vast array of activities that seem very normal, politically correct, and in conformity to the acceptable world standards, but unknowing to them, it is a high way to hell.

The highway to hell is a Broadway that has the capacity to accommodate a vast number of people who have made their decision to spend their eternity in hell. The drive on this route is so smooth, filled with pleasures but no reproof. It is well designed with the best acts of deception and witchcraft, with Godly conscience slain on the altar of sin. The highway to hell has no caution sign posts, warning the travelers en-route it on the impending danger ahead.

Life is a journey, and every living soul is a traveler being transported by a "vehicle" and a currency which facilitates the journey to that destination of choice.

"For the wages of sin is death" -Romans 6:23 (KJV)

The currency of death is the only accepted legal tender on this route, which is used to purchase the boarding pass that leads to the pit. The vehicles that traverse this route are labelled with various inscriptions which include lies, fornication, adultery, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envying, murders, drunkenness, revelling etc, which are considered works of the flesh (Galatians 5:19-21). 

On this journey, the flesh is fattened by lust, as the vehicle of sin heads straight for the pit, but suddenly a woman appears on the sidewalk of this highway, beckoning on the occupants in the vehicle of sin, as she shouts desperately  “STOP! STOP!! STOP!!! PLEASE GO BACK!!! THERE IS DANGER AHEAD!!! but her efforts yield no results. 

" Wisdom crieth without; she utereth her voice in the streets and because ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof: I also will laugh at your calamity" - Proverbs 1:25-26 (KJV)

Wisdom cried out but the travelers on this route refused to listen to her. What a pity! Has wisdom been beckoning on you desperately to get off the vehicle of sin that leads to the pit, and you refused to take her wise counsel? Repent now and listen to her, because the price of sin is too costly.

Hell is not a place  for one to spend his/her eternity, because it is a place of unimaginable cruelty where gruesome acts of torture is an occupation for demons. It is a place of wailing and crying, a place so extreme in gruesomeness that the travelers who arrived the pit through the Broadway, wished they listened to wisdom. They say to themselves, Oh! We would have listened to wisdom and asked the driver to take us back that we may travel through the narrow path. Remember that salvation is a gift for the living, as there is no salvation in the grave.

However, i would like you and I to x-ray our lives and ask ourselves these salient questions:

1. Am I already on the highway that leads to hell? 

2. Which vehicle is conveying me to the pit? 

However, If you are already on the highway to hell, it is time to get out of the vehicle of sin and embrace wisdom on the sidewalk and she would lead you back to the narrow path that leads to eternal life. 

The narrow path is a road to eternal life and only the vehicles of holiness and righteousness are permitted on this route.

Wisdom beckons on you today, please listen to her counsel and give your life to Jesus Christ. 

PRAYER POINT:

1. O God my Father, deflate the tyres of the vehicle of sin leading me to hell in Jesus name, amen.

2. Any power or personality that has given me a heart of stone that will make me not to listen to the call of wisdom, Arise o Lord and destroy them in Jesus name, amen.

JESUS CHRIST IS CALLING YOU TODAY FOR HIS SECOND COMING IS AT HAND. GIVE YOUR LIFE TO JESUS CHRIST BECAUSE THE NEXT SECOND MIGHT BE TOO LATE. GOD BLESS YOU.
