I will like to use this opportunity to condole with the
families of those who lost their lives in the shooting incident that happened
in Orlando, Florida. The loss of a life or lives brings sorrow to men, and when
those souls miss heaven for any reason, our Lord Jesus Christ is grieved
because the price He paid on the cross and all He suffered for the salvation of
those souls is wasted. The news of the Orlando shooting and the loss of lives,
brought grieve not only to the United States but the world in general, but many
feel indifferent to the incident because of the reference to the location (gay
club) where the victims met their untimely death. Many believers are of the
opinion that the victims got what they deserved and as such deserve no pity.
Every life is important to God our creator, and despite our iniquities, He
gives us a second chance for repentance, and that is why we should always grab
the offer when there is still life in us.
The Pharisees questioned the disciples of Jesus Christ,
saying “Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?” and on
hearing this, Jesus said “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the
sick. But go and learn what this means: I desire mercy, not sacrifice. For I
have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.” Our Lord Jesus Christ did
not condemn or drive away sinners on account of His righteousness but reached
out to them in love while talking to them about the Kingdom of His Father,
because their souls were precious to Heaven. However in the world today, we see
a lot of Christians exhibiting hatred towards lost souls on account of their sin,
while some take it a step further by building very tall and thick fences around
their lives to act as a preventive measure against anyone they perceive as a
sinner. My question to these set of believers is, how can you then save a soul
for heaven? Love is the greatest form of evangelism, because when you love a
soul, that soul will listen to you even though you were talking gibberish. The
Bible in the book of John 3:16 says “
For God so loved the world that he gave
his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but
have everlasting life”. Love is what brought about our salvation and that
is why we can boldly say we are saved.
However it will be wrong for any believer to be of the view
that those who died in the Orlando gay club deserved what they got, but instead
lets us grieve because souls were lost as Heaven grieves also. Christians all
over the world should reach out to the gay community and preach the message of
salvation to them, instead of hating and wishing them dead, because by so doing
you will be saving a soul for heaven. We should speak to them in love and
bringing to their understanding the great danger of being a gay, while proffering
possible exit ways from this destructive behaviour using the Holy bible as the
standard.
The act of homosexuality is an abomination before God, and a
gay club is certainly not a place for anyone to exit the earth. In the
beginning, it was not so because God created a male and a female, not a male
and a male, or a female and a female (Genesis
5:2). The concept of Homosexuality is not from God, but a manipulation from
Satan to drag men and women involved in this abomination to hell. The Bible in
the book of 1 Timothy 4:4, makes us
understand that every creature of God was good, and there was nothing to be
refused, but while men slept, the enemy came to sow tares among the wheat, and
went his way ( Mathew 13:25). God did
not create anyone a homosexual, so stop saying “I was born that way”. Homosexuality is a spirit from Satan which
possess and reverses the emotions of his victim, making him or her to act contrary
to his original design by God. The good news is this, the spirit can be cast
out of the victim through the name of Jesus Christ, and his or her original feelings restored. If you are a homosexual or you are noticing reversed feelings
in your system, stop saying “ I was born
that way”, but do something about it, and these are a few steps that will
lead you to total freedom:
1.
You must surrender your life to Jesus Christ,
because He loves you and wants to save you.
2.
You must confess all your sins and promise Jesus
Christ, that you will never go back to them again.
3.
You must go for deliverance, so that the spirit
will be cast away from your body and your original feelings restored.
4.
You must live a holy life.
5.
You must get a Bible and read it daily to know the
standard of God, and what He promises when you obey His commands.
6.
You must pray fervently against any plot by the
devil to drag you to hell.
7.
You must keep away from bad friends and old
sexual partners.
8.
You must keep away from gay clubs and other demonic
locations capable of polluting your salvation.
Moreover, our God did not spare Sodom and Gomorrah because
of this abomination, and He will destroy every homosexual and their supporters on the day of judgment. Our Lord Jesus Christ is using this article to call you to
repentance, because the next second might be too late. God bless you.
