The enemies of a man are members of his household (Mathew 10:36), and he does not need to
look very far because the cause and solution of his problems are around him. In
the first part of this article titled THEGREAT CONSPIRACY PART 1, I itemized sixteen (16) notable attributes of one
of the greatest enemies of a man, and how they operate. The devil who was
formerly called Lucifer, is the father of "Unfriendly friends", and these set of enemies still remain one
of the most dangerous, because they have their roots in every problem that man
experiences. There is a popular proverb in my home town which says that "The rat inside a house, is the one who gave
information to other rats outside the house, telling them that there is food
where it resides". This proverb simply means that persons outside the
confines of your life, will have no access to detailed information concerning
you, unless with the help of an insider. Information is a very important component in the life of a believer, and at the same time, it is a veritable tool in the hands of
the enemy, because no enemy succeeds without information.
Unfriendly friends always have a "Plan B" as highlighted in the first part of this article, and
they will stop at nothing till they accomplish their wicked desires. Satan, after
his defeat in heaven (Revelations 12:11),
conceived in his heart a wicked plot to attack man, who he knew was dear to the heart
of God. These set of enemies, are happy whenever they succeed in the
destruction of destinies and separating
men from their maker. There are several important questions that we need to ask ourselves with regards the issue of the fall of man, and they are;
WHY WAS MAN THE TARGET?
There are over seventy (70) verses in the bible that
describes the glory of God as being the creator of all things found in heaven
and in the earth including both visible and invisible, whether thrones or
dominions or rulers or authorities(Colossians
1:16), and also in the book of Deuteronomy 5:24 which says "The Lord
our God has shown us his glory and his majesty, and we have heard his voice
from the fire.....". These bible verses amongst others establishes the
fact that our God is a carrier of Glory.
The garden of Eden was not made up of man alone, as they
were others inhabitants ranging from birds, creatures of the sea, livestock, wild
animals, and all according to their kinds (Genesis
1:20-25).The creatures that were made by God, were blessed through His
words which says "Be fruitful and
increase in number" and man was not an exception to this blessing, but
why was his case different?
Man was the only creature that was made in the image of God
as can be seen in the book of Genesis
1:27, and as a result of this design, he became a glory carrier also,
because the image of His creator was encoded with glory. He was not just a glory
carrier, but was also given the authority over every living creature that moved
on the ground ( Genesis 1:28),which
signified his bright future. Unfriendly friends will never go after empty
vessels, but are attracted to glory carriers. This is the reason why many are
attacked today, because they are carriers of glory, but often, many faint and give
up on life because they don't know who
they are. The devil did not go after the animals in the garden of Eden but man
because he was a glory carrier and all carriers of glory are prone to attacks.
WHY USE A SNAKE AS THE WEAPON?
The devil would have come in his true form or rather still, send one of his fallen angels to do the job, but why use a snake for the job?
The snake lived in the garden of Eden amongst other animals, and as a result,
it was not a stranger to Adam and Eve. It knew the activities of Adam and Eve
in the garden, but this attribute alone did not qualify it for the
perfect weapon. The bible in the Book of Genesis
3:1 says that "The serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals
the Lord God has made", and this singled it out to be the perfect tool
in the hands of Satan. A bad character is an open letter of invitation,
requesting the devil to take full control, and this is the case with many today who have become tools in the hands of Satan because of the nature of their heart. The Bible in the book of Proverbs 4:23 says "Keep thy heart with all diligence;for out of it are the issues of life". The craftiness of the serpent made it easy to be manipulated by Satan, and as a result, its destiny was destroyed by incurring a curse from God.
WHAT LED TO THE FALL?
The devil had a plan to defeat man in the garden of Eden and
separate him from God, but there was a missing link in his plan, and in order
to figure it out, he moved closer to his target using the serpent as a
masquerading tool to achieve his purpose. He said to the woman "Did God really say, you must not eat from
any tree in the garden?" This question was very tricky and it
establishes the fact that, the devil knew about the instruction, but was not
sure why it was given by God. One of the attributes of unfriendly friends as highlighted in the first part of this article, states that unfriendly friends lures
their victims into revealing secrets ,by asking them manipulative questions.
Satan asked Eve the question with the intent to make her reveal her secret, thereby
destroying her wall of defense and exposing her vulnerability. This is the
problem of many today, as they sell themselves out to the enemy because they
cannot apply restraint to what they say and who they say it to, even Joseph suffered
the same fate with his brothers. In response to Satan's question, Eve said
"We may eat fruit from the trees in
the garden, but God did say,' you must not eat fruit from the trees that is in
the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die". With
this statement, the devil discovered the missing link in his plan, and he went
straight for the technical knockout which led to the fall of man. The impact of a "loose tongue" can be very devastating as it can ruin generations, and that was why the Bible was not wrong to say that "whoever keeps his mouth and his tongue keeps himself out of trouble" (Proverb 21:23).
However, the world today is filled with unfriendly friends,
and as a result we should be mindful of who we share our personal details with,
because a secret revealed is a weapon in the hands of an enemy.
