THE GREAT CONSPIRACY PART 1

The Merriam-Webster learners dictionary defines conspiracy, as a secret plan made by two or more people to do something that is harmful or illegal. One of the greatest enemies of a man, is the "enemy within", which are also called the "unfriendly friends". These group of enemies unlike others, are well known to their targets, and appear not to pose any physical or spiritual threat. They have the personal records of their targets, because "intimacy" is their greatest weapon. Their hatred is usually born out of jealousy or envy, and they pretentiously sympathize with the target when he/she is down. The unfriendly friend cuddles his target, while at the same time injecting them with the syringe of death. In the world today where evil prowls like a wild fire, these group of enemies are the most common because the success of an attack is a measure of the level of active participation of the ''enemy within'' or  "unfriendly friend", and it would be imperative for us to highlight their attributes in a bit to exposing their activities. Below are sixteen (16)  attributes of the unfriendly friend:

1.       They are familiar with their targets.

2.       They are familiar with the environment where their targets reside.

3.       They are very patient.

4.       Intimacy is their most potent weapon.

5.       They are always masked ( the mask of deception).

6.       They are fake comforters and lovers.

7.       They offer destructive counsel which leads their targets to the cage of death.

8.       They scare away genuine helpers, or anyone who poses a threat to their plan.

9.       They have their plans well laid out.

10.   They don't work alone.

11.   They always have a plan B.

12.   They refuse to succeed and deny others success.

13.   They are ungrateful.

14.   They have the capacity to corrupt vulnerable people around their targets

15.   They monitor their targets.

16.   They lure their targets into revealing their secrets, by asking them manipulative questions.

However, contrary to many teachings and drawings about the devil being ugly and repulsive in nature, the devil who was formerly called Lucifer, is actually a very beautiful personality. He is an epitome of beauty as recorded in the book of Ezekiel 28:13 which says "......every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou was created". This means that the devil who was formerly called Lucifer, was clothed with these precious stones which many would literally kill for today. In the book of Revelation 21:19-20, we are made to understand that some of these stones like Jasper, sapphire, emerald, sardius etc, were used to build the foundations of Heaven. This reveals in details the great beauty of the devil who was formerly called Lucifer, and this was further affirmed in the book of Ezekiel 28:17. If the devil was so ugly, why is he able to seduce the people of the world into committing sins like watching pornography, indulging in acts of fornication, adultery, listening to satanic songs, celebrating his servants (satanic celebrities), and why are the daughters of the world still adopting his naked fashion as a standard for their appearance etc? This is a food for thought.

The devil is the master of conspiracies and the father of "unfriendly friends", and over the years, he has evolved and perfected several strategies of deceit which he unleashes on the world. There is a popular saying that " the devil you know, is better than the angel you don't know", which means that an enemy left understudied, still poses a potential threat and danger to the ignorant. In warfare, the winning side is one that comprehensively studies his opponent to discover areas of strength and weaknesses, which furthers informs him on the best tactics of attack and defense. Today many Christians don't study deep to discover the true nature of Satan, and that is why they easily fall for his lies. As believers who are in the race for eternity, it will be detrimental for any believer not to know the nature of his enemy, because ignorance paves way for vulnerability.  However in this article, I will be understudying  some of the conspiracies that Satan masterminded, with the aim of drawing out possible lessons that will better inform believers on the best form of attack and defense strategies against Satan.

CONSPIRACY 1: THE BATTLE IN HEAVEN.

The enemy of a man are members of his household (Mathew 10:36), and these are the "enemies within". I strongly believe that this statement was first applied in Heaven as a result of the rebellion of Lucifer. The name Lucifer, as he was formerly called in heaven, is derived from the Latin words "lux" which means light and "ferre" which means "to bring". The name Lucifer means morning star, and this can be found in the book of Isaiah 14:12 which is contrary to many beliefs that the name is bad. The name "Lucifer" is a good name which was given to him by God, and this greatly depicted his beauty, but unfortunately he does not bare that name anymore after his rebellion, because everything he is now, is a direct contrast of his former self. The resultant effect of his action of rebellion attached a stigma to the name "Lucifer" as no parent would want to give such a name to his/her child.

THE BATTLE:

 "And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, and prevailed not; neither was their place found anymore in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth and his angels were cast out with him. And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation and strength, and the kingdom of our God and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimonies; and they loved not their lives unto the death" (Revelations 12:17).

 LESSONS:

1.       FAMILIARITY: Lucifer's residence was in heaven, and he was familiar with the heavenly environment (Ezekiel 28:14). This is the same way unfriendly friends operate, as they find it difficult to operate outside the environment of their target, because intimacy is their greatest weapon.

2.       A REASON TO ATTACK: Heaven is a place we all as believers hope and pray for, because it is a place of unimaginable beauty, and also a place of praise and worship. Lucifer was created by God, and adorned with beauty, but he was not contented with what he had. Lack of contentment leads to acts of rebellion which results to a destructive end. He thought in his heart "I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north", and because of this singular act, God hates the proud (Proverb 8:13). No matter the level of goodness you render to an "unfriendly friend", he will remain ungrateful and resolute in his resolve to attack and destroy you. Lucifer with all he was given by God, still remained ungrateful, and was resolute in his resolve to rebel against God because he envied God's position and sought to overthrow God. The driving force and motivating factor of the "enemy within" or "unfriendly friends" is jealousy and envy because they either want to stop your progress by killing your dreams and aspirations or overthrow you from your ordained position. 

3.       THEY NEVER ACT ALONE: The destiny of a man can never be fulfilled without a destiny helper, and also the conspiracy of a conspirator can never be actualized without the help of fellow conspirators. Lucifer was the one who conceived the thought of overthrowing God, but he knew that he alone could not actualize that thought. Unfriendly friends, do not act alone, but work closely with persons around the vicinity of their victims with the aim of carrying out their wickedness. Heaven is made up of a vast number of angels, who are legions, and two-third of that population is a great number. Lucifer would have approached these angels secretly, giving them reasons why they should join him in his fruitless adventure. These attributes are not uncommon with unfriendly friends, because they have the capacity to corrupt persons around their victims, with these vulnerable individuals oblivious of the final repercussion of their evil acts.

4.       VIGILANCE: physical and spiritual vigilance in the life of a believer cannot be over emphasized, because appearances are deceptive in nature. The Bible in the book of Jeremiah 23:24 which says " can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the Lord. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the Lord". Who indeed can hide from the presence of God? because He is a God of vigilance, as His eyes move to and fro the earth (2 Chronicles 16:9). Lucifer underrated God, and without his knowing that all his rebellious acts were been recorded, and as result heaven was not taken unaware. Christians should be vigilant, and that was why the Bible in the book of Mathew 26:41 advised us to watch and pray so that we don't not fall into temptation. The devil moves around like a roaring lion looking for who to devour (1 peter 5:8), and it is only through vigilance that his activities can be detected and crushed. The scripture that says "lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices" is only applicable to Christians who pay a high premium on vigilance.

5.       GOD AND HOLINESS WILL ALWAYS PREVAIL: Holiness in the life of a believer is non- negotiable, as sin hinders the hand of God. The kingdom of God was able to defeat the devil because heaven is a place of holiness and as such no iniquity could be found in it.

6.       A DESTRUCTIVE END: The bible in the book of Proverb 11:21 says " though hand join in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished: but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered". The activities of "unfriendly friends" will definitely lead them to destruction, as no good can ever come out from evil. On the last day, every man will be held accountable for his actions. If you are an "unfriendly friend" ,or you are involved in acts of wickedness, you still have an opportunity to repent now, because the next second might be too late
