THE NEW TESTAMENT WAY TO DEAL WITH YOUR HUMAN ENEMIES BY EVANGELIST OGHOGHO IKPONMWOSA (PHD)

MODULE 1: THE NEW TESTAMENT WAY TO DEAL WITH YOUR HUMAN ENEMIES

Today on God's instruction I shall begin this teaching series.
Many believers today do not understand that there is a big difference between the old covenant and the new covenant.

Some believers take something they read in the old covenant and want to follow it now even though it contradicts the new covenant law of love.

For example in the old covenant, a woman who just gave birth is unclean for a specified period (Lev 12:1-7). A woman was also considered unclean if she was menstruating while a man who has a body discharge was also unclean (Lev. 15:1-11; 19-27).

When a man has an emission of semen (including when he has sex with his wife) he will be unclean until the evening (Lev 15:16-18).

Also, great men like Abraham, David and Solomon married more than one wife. They could even marry more if they choose to do so and God would not judge them for it.

Other examples of laws in the old covenant include death penalty for anyone who curses or fights with his father or mother and for anyone who serves or worships idols (Exodus 21:15-17; 22:20).
We also have the law of an eye for an eye, tooth for tooth, thou shall not allow a witch to live, etc. (Exodus 21:23-25, 22:18).

This is why you should not be surprised if you read in the Psalms where David prays against his human enemies. He was simply applying the law as it relates to his dispensation.
Other prophets in the old covenant also did the same thing David did and they were righteous for doing so.

In the next module we shall look at more laws given to them by God in the Old Testament which we can't follow today.
To be continued....

Story of how LESTER SUMRALL met with HOWARD CARTER

LESTER Sumrall was a 20th century giant of faith, and worldwide missionary statesman, who demonstrated the power of the gospel in his pastoral and evangelical ministry. He also had a personal relationship with Smith Wigglesworth. And travelled widely with Howard Carter. This, culled from Dr. Sumrall's 'Pioneers of Faith', is the story of how he met Mr. Carter. It was 1932. Brother Lester was 19, and brother Howard was 41: I was sitting in a little church in Tennessee looking at the young man who was leading the music. Suddenly, the scene before me vanished, and I saw thousands of Japanese, Chinese, Lndians, Malaysians, Indonesians, Indians, Africans, Latin Americans, Europeans and people from the ocean islands on one road going one direction ...Trembling and crying, I asked, "What shall I do?" God said, "You have to go to these people." I said, "I don't like those people. I have never seen a Japanese person in my life. I don't know tho...

THE OLD CONVENANT IS A SHADOW OF THE NEW CONVENANT [pt 4] - Min. Awe Hilary

It is an interesting fact to know that 99.99% of most religions practiced today are imitations of either the Mosaic law as given to the Jews by God or idolatry as invented by men through the interface of spiritual entities as a way of worship. Idol worship and the Mosaic law are the oldest well known religious institutions that have existed on the earth. The Mosaic law which is the Old Convenant is a shadow of the New Convenant which could not come into effect as long as the law was still in place. Hebrews 9:8 [AMP]: By this the Holy Spirit signifies that the way into the Holy Place [the true Holy of Holies and the presence of God] has not yet been disclosed as long as the first or outer tabernacle is still standing [that is, as long as the Levitical system of worship remains a recognized institution]. More also, if the Old Convenant is a shadow of the New Convenant, then it signifies that they both have One Spirit [The Spirit of God], same pattern with different realities but one purp...
