MODULE 26 THE NEW TESTAMENT WAY TO DEAL WITH YOUR HUMAN ENEMIES BY EVANGELIST OGHOGHO IKPONMWOSA (PHD)



In this module we shall continue to look at what Apostle John said in re-echoing what Jesus said about LOVE.
     
2 John 4-6

4 I rejoiced greatly that I found of thy children walking in truth, as we have received a commandment from the Father.

5 And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto thee, but that which we had from the beginning, that we LOVE one another.

6 And this is LOVE, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.KJV

Apostle John wrote his second letter to a female leader of the early church and her children. He was glad that her children were walking in the truth as they received commandment from God.

He pointed them to the fact that he was not asking them to keep a new commandment but the one they had received from the beginning. What commandment was he referring to? He was telling them to walk in LOVE towards one another because to LOVE one another is to walk after God’s commandments as they have heard it from the beginning.

We can’t ignore the numerous instructions from the word of God that as believers in the New Covenant we are called to dwell in LOVE. We must always remember to check if our thoughts and actions conform to the LOVE of God shed in our hearts by the Holy Spirit.

Unfortunately we can choose not to live the LOVE life. God will not force us to walk in LOVE. However He has given us His Spirit to shed it in our hearts and to help us live this life.

He is in us to help us pray, give, care for, protect, carry out our official duties, relate with our spouses and everyone around us in LOVE. Indeed LOVE never fails.

Betrayer is what someone does against us but choosing to stay in resentment, bitterness and hatred is what we do against ourselves. Let us take the LOVE of God to a broken world and we will be amazed at the changes we will see in the lives of those around us as we show them God’s unconditional LOVE.

Papa David Ibiyeomie through his foundation (DIF) renovates the house of Mama Priscilla Agwu in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria. The newly renovated and furnished house was handed over to her on Friday 5th of April 2019.  David Ibiyeomie presently takes care of countless number of aged people with comfortable accommodation, monthly upkeep and medical assistance. This is outside the Home For the Elderly built, furnished by the Church and is also taking care of some aged people. While handing over this house to Mama Agwu, Her family, friends and neighbors all came together to celebrate with her and could not hide their joy and shock at what the Lord has done for their mother through Pastor David Ibiyeomie. THE OLD CONVENANT IS A SHADOW OF THE NEW CONVENANT [pt 4] - Min. Awe Hilary

It is an interesting fact to know that 99.99% of most religions practiced today are imitations of either the Mosaic law as given to the Jews by God or idolatry as invented by men through the interface of spiritual entities as a way of worship. Idol worship and the Mosaic law are the oldest well known religious institutions that have existed on the earth.
