"Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled" (Hebrews 12:15)
"Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
5) Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
6) Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
7) Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. (1 Corinthians 13:4 - 7)
The devil is out to sow seed of discord among Christians.
How?
"My church is better than yours. My Pastor is better than yours. All the other churches will be flushed away because God doesn't love them etc"
Why?
Some Christians believe "they have all the knowledge and revelations". Therefore, whoever doesn't "follow" them (not Jesus Christ) will be doomed.
The level of bitterness ravaging the Christians nowadays is alarming. They preach the gospel out of bitterness tearing other Christians and churches apart as if Jesus Christ didn't die for the world to be saved.
According to them, every big or flourishing ministry is of the devil. No! The Holy Spirit is still in the ministry of convicting the sinners and reconciling them back to God.
Yes! There are fake and devilish churches because the Bible said by their fruits you shall know them. Our duty is to preach the gospel to them and not to condemn all churches as a whole.
There are still true churches all over the world. Don't sit in the corner of your house and begin to condemn all Churches.
It is one thing to preach the truth (or hard truth??) but let it be done out of Christlike love.
As for judgement, leave it for God. He alone knows the hearts of men. It is true that sinners will go to Hell fire but try to WIN them by love and WARN them in love.
Don't force anyone to love your ways but show them how to love the way of God and do the Will of God.
Pray for them and let love reign supreme in our hearts. Let's not give the devil any foothold among us.
Are you preaching out of love or bitterness? Examine your heart.
I PRAY TRUE LOVE AND UNITY WILL REIGN AMONG THE CHURCHES WITHOUT COMPROMISE IN JESUS NAME.
Shalom.
