Prophecies are spiritual insights into the future given by God to His prophets to guide His children in decision making and forewarning them of the thoughts and carefully planned events of the devil and his agents. Moreover, prophecies are not only for the children of God, but also to people and nations who reject God, forewarning them of the horrors that might befall them if they don't make peace with Him.
However, prophecies in some cases, are not final statements from God, but a call to action by God through His prophet to His children and to all nations of the world. The Holy Bible in the book of Jeremiah 29: 11, declares that the thoughts of God for us, are of good and not evil, to give us a future and hope. God is not an originator of bad prophecies because that negates His thought pattern for us as recorded in the book of Jeremiah 29:11, but He forewarns us of the plans of the devil and his agents by giving us enough time to re-position ourselves appropriately by adjusting our conduct and making amends where necessary in order to avoid the pitfalls and traps of the devil.
Every prophecy from God is valid, but it also takes the right attitude in becoming a benefactor of such prophecies, because prophecies might become elusive if the attitude of the people to which its given are not in line with the principles and ordinances of the God through which the prophecy was born. There is nothing like a failed prophecy from God, but a failed action by the people to which the prophecy was given either in the area of claiming the promises of God embedded in those prophecies through prayers, righteous living and taking the right actions at the right time, or rejecting and cancelling through prayers, planned sponsored events by the devil and his agents exposed by God through prophecies.
Every year comes with its prophecies, but know one thing for sure, that prophecies can be altered. Yes! they can be altered by both the children of light and also by the dark world. This year, many pastors will be called fake men of God because some of their prophecies may never see the light of day. This type of attitude is premised on ignorance, as many fold their arms waiting for disasters to happen in order to validate the authenticity of the prophecy and that of the prophet. This is totally wrong, because if God tells a prophet that there would be a plane crash in Nigeria or any part of the world, He is simply telling the prophet to forewarn the people of that country of the planned event sponsored by the devil and his agents to cause loss of lives and sorrow, thereby causing a national mourning. These warnings by God is a call to action for believers to get on their kneels in prayer to avert any of such occurrences by exercising their authority in Jesus Christ, and preventing any loophole that may give the devil and his agents legal grounds to perform his evil agenda.
However, in order to ensure that your good prophecies remain relevant throughout the year, you must remain in the presence of God, rekindle your prayer altars and take the right steps through the leading of the Holy Spirit, and if you have not given your life to Jesus Christ, now is the time to do it.
PRAYER POINTS:
1. Thank You Lord for the gift of life.
2. Father, in anyway I have sinned against you, please forgive me and cleanse me with the blood of Jesus Christ.
3. O God my Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I claim every promise in line with your word concerning my life in the year 2018 and beyond.
4. Every prophecy which is not in line with your word for me, my family and country, I reject it in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
