The God's Glory Restoration Prophetic Ministry recently
embarked on a 4 day special prayer meeting which commenced on the 17th day of
January, 2018 with a theme titled "MY PROMOTION IS FROM GOD". On the
first day of the programme, I was given the privilege to minister to the
children of God, on a topic I titled "THE POWER FOR SUCCESS".
However, it is important for me to share this message to everyone who could not
make it to the meeting as a result of unavoidable circumstances.
TOPIC: THE POWER FOR SUCCESS.
READING SCRIPTURE: PSALM 75: 6 - 7
"For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from
the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and
setteth up another" - PSALM 75:6-7 (KJV).
The power for success lies in our relationship with God
through Jesus Christ, because He is the originator and the determinant of
success. Man cannot succeed without God, but needs God to succeed. The reality
of success becomes feasible when we exercise dominion, and for us to exercise
dominion, we need power, because without power, there can be no dominion, and when
there is no dominion, success can never be achieved.
In the book of Genesis 1:28, God gave man the power to succeed,
by giving him dominion over everything that was created. The foundation of this
dominion was based on the relationship between man and God. This relationship
provided man with a platform to exercise authority and fulfill purpose, but
when Adam and Eve disobeyed God through the act of disobedience, the foundation
which empowered them to exercise dominion was broken, because man's
relationship with God was severed as a result of sin, which lead to a loss of
dominion.
The birth and death of our Lord Jesus Christ, redeemed us
from the curse of the law, and rebuilt the broken foundation which once offered
man a platform to exercise authority and fulfill purpose. Jesus Christ became
the foundation for man to reclaim his authority that was once lost through sin,
and hence became the power for our success. This is the reason why the devil is
very interested in our relationship with God through Christ, because he knows
that our strength and dominion comes from our relationship with God through
Christ, and any attempt to destroy that relationship, is an attempt to defeat us,
because we are nothing without Christ.
PRAYER POINT: Any power on assignment to attack my relationship
with God, be consumed by fire in Jesus name, amen.
However, for us to understand the power for success
comprehensively, we must understand what success truly means, and change the
narrative that is being sold to us by the world. In a time where materialism
has become the order of the day, the true meaning of success has been altered
to appease man's desire in the acquisition and stock piling of material
possession in a realm (earth) where there is no guarantee of security (Mathew
6: 19-21). The world's definition of success is premised on the acquisition and
promotion of materialism without the emphasis on establishing a solid relationship
with God, and as a result, a wealthy man or woman is adjudged to be successful
when he or she has no relationship with God.
Moreover, success can be defined as completing the assignment
given to us by God, which is the purpose for which we were created or the
reason for our existence, and arriving at His desired destination (Heaven). For
we to be adjudged as successful, we must finish the race by completely
exhausting the purpose for which we were created (God's assignment) by God for
the benefit of men and to the glory of God, and must also arrive at the
location designated for sons and daughters of God (Heaven). A great man of God,
Dr Myles Monroe in one of his teachings said "Don't die old, but die
empty, because that is the goal of life".
In the book of John 19:30, while Jesus Christ was on the
cross of Calvary, He said " It is finished", hence signifying that He
has completed His assignment on earth, which is the purpose for which He manifested
to the world. His Journey did not stop at the cross, but He ascended into Heaven
to meet His Father, and He is seated at the right hand of God (Mark 16:19).
Success is adjudged by fulfilling purpose and re-uniting with God in Heaven,
who is the owner of the purpose that was fulfilled through you. Hence, you
cannot be successful without God, because an athlete who stops half way into a
race, cannot be declared as a winner. Apostle Paul tried to describe the life
of a man by equating his journey on earth to that of an athlete who runs for a
prize (1 Corinthians 9:24). This is exactly the true nature of man, as every
soul on earth is running a race to fulfill purpose, with the aim of finishing
well and obtaining a prize (the crown of glory), but unfortunately many are not
aware of this truth, as they have left the race track of purpose to wander
about in the desert. There is no life without purpose, because our God is a God
of Purpose, and everything He created, He created for a purpose. Moreover in
the book of 2 Timothy 4: 7-8, Apostle Paul declared "I have fought a good
fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is
laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge,
shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love
his appearing" -This was a statement of success.
Our Lord Jesus Christ is a model for success because through
Him the purpose of God was revealed, and it is only through Him (Jesus Christ)
that man can fulfill his purpose, and be
crowned at the finishing line - Jesus Christ is the power for success.
Moreover, for us to experience the power for success, we must
adhere to the following points, though not exhaustive, but very important, and
they are;
1. Give your life to Jesus Christ (1 John 14:6).
2. Guard our relationship with God through Jesus Christ (Philippians
4:6-7).
3. Discover your potential through Jesus Christ (Exodus
9:16).
4. Live your purpose by maximizing your potential for the
benefit of men and to the glory of God.
5. Pray against enemies that attack purpose.
6. Keep the faith till the end.
PRAYER POINTS:
1. O God my Father, give me the grace to maintain and guard
my relationship with you in Jesus name, amen.
2. Every power on assignment to attack my relationship with
God, be consumed by Fire in Jesus name, amen.
3. O God my Father, open my eyes to discover your purpose in
my life, in Jesus name, amen.
4. O God my Father, any power assigned to stop my promotion
this year, be consumed by fire in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
5. Every prince of Persia on assignment to delay my angel of
promotion, be roasted by fire in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
6. Whether the devil likes it or not, my life must move
forward in Jesus name, amen.
God bless you all.
