The City of God Healing and Deliverance Ministry celebrates 5th Year Anniversary in grand style


Today being the 25th of March, 2018, marked the 5th Year Anniversary of the City of God Healing and Deliverance Ministry, as ministers, members and friends of the church, converged in Lokoja, Kogi State to celebrate God's faithfulness.

The Church which started in the year 2013 at St Luke's primary school, Adankolo, Lokoja, Kogi State, has ever since witnessed unprecedented growth under the leadership of Prophetess SY Michael who is the Senior pastor of the church. 


In line with the 5th year anniversary of the Church, a four day power packed program which commenced on the 22nd of March, 2018 and themed Global Harvest of overflowing blessings, was organized by the church, which featured several ministers of the gospel, amongst whom are Pastor Friday John, Pastor James Musa, Minister Engr. Awe Hilary MNSE, and Prophetess SY Micheal, who ministered the gospel of Christ to all the attendees. Moreover, there were several deliverance sections, as the captives of the mighty were released by the power of God through Jesus Christ.

The Angelic voices of the City of God Healing and Deliverance Ministry, kept the attendees thrilled with electrifying gospel songs which made the massive crowd lost in the euphoria of praise and worship. The Solution drama group was also not left out, as they thrilled the children of God with their drama presentation which emphasized the physical realities of the blessings of God upon believers who are willing and ready to apply the Holy Scriptures to their daily living.

The high point of the celebration was a special thanksgiving service held on Sunday the 25th of March, 2018 in the Church Auditorium beside Wada flood victim estate in the first 200 units of the Old Poly Quarters, to celebrate God's faithfulness since the inception of the church in 2013.

Pastors, elders, members and friends, took turns for over two (2) hours to share their testimonies on how the ministry has impacted their lives positively. Amongst the notable testimonies, were the testimonies of Elder Shaibu, Elder Aruwa Nuhu and Minister Eng. Awe Hilary, amongst others. 

Elder Shaibu who was a practising Muslim for almost 50years, shared his testimony with the children of God in the Auditorium, on how he gave his life to Jesus Christ after God healed his daughter through Prophetess SY Michael. He recounted his experience on how he spent over 12 million naira to save the life of his daughter with no result, but when he came in contact with the ministry, Jesus healed his daughter free of charge.

The testimony of Elder Aruwa Nuhu took another dimension, as he came to church with the former drugs which served as his medication for his life threatening ailment for 26years. He however glorified the name of God, because through the ministry he received his healing and has since not taking any medication for about a year. 

Minister Eng. Awe Hilary MNSE, also went on to give his testimony on how he encountered Jesus Christ and discovered his purpose through the ministry. It was indeed a harvest of testimonies as members and friends could not hold back their joy and appreciation to God for all He has done for them and how the City of God Healing and Deliverance Ministry has been a life changer to many destinies.

The high point of the thanksgiving service was the unveiling and cutting of the anniversary cake by Prophet and Prophetess SY Michael together with ministers, elders, friends and members of every department in the church. 

The 5th year Anniversary celebration however came to an end at some minutes past the hour of 2pm, to enable invited guests proceed to their various destinations, as the Senior Pastor in the person of Prophestess SY Michael declared prayers of overflowing blessings on all who were in attendance, and also instructed the ushers to serve guest with drinks and specially prepared snacks, as everyone ate in the presence of God.

It is an interesting fact to know that 99.99% of most religions practiced today are imitations of either the Mosaic law as given to the Jews by God or idolatry as invented by men through the interface of spiritual entities as a way of worship. Papa David Ibiyeomie through his foundation (DIF) renovates the house of Mama Priscilla Agwu in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria. The newly renovated and furnished house was handed over to her on Friday 5th of April 2019.  David Ibiyeomie presently takes care of countless number of aged people with comfortable accommodation, monthly upkeep and medical assistance. This is outside the Home For the Elderly built, furnished by the Church and is also taking care of some aged people. While handing over this house to Mama Agwu, Her family, friends and neighbors all came together to celebrate with her and could not hide their joy and shock at what the Lord has done for their mother through Pastor David Ibiyeomie.
