What fasting is not?
Fasting is not a religious weapon for seasonal observation; it is not punishing yourself until God is forced to hear you or attempting to change God’s position about any issue of concern.
What is Fasting?
- Fasting is abstinence from food or pleasure for a period of time to establish God’s plan and purpose for your life.
- Fasting is a proven tool for the operation and manifestation of the supernatural. Fasting aligns with God's purpose and intentions. - Isa. 58:6
- Fasting amplifies and intensifies desperation and desire towards God for needed intervention. - Joel 3:13, Esther 4:17
- Fasting is subduing the flesh for the dominance of your spirit man.
- Fasting expresses human helplessness and humility of the soul in securing the help of God. - 2 Chr. 20:3-4
Examples of Those Who Commanded Supernatural Through Fasting

Kindly take note of the following things about fasting:
1. You don’t fast to impress God or people and you don’t fast to boast or brag. - Matt 6: 16-18
2. You don't fast to eagerly wait for the time to break. - Eccl. 9:10
3. You don't fast to break carelessly or with excess food.
4. You don't fast without active engagement in prayer and a study of the Word. - Acts 6:4When Should You Fast?
1. When you are led by God.
2. When you have a heavy Kingdom burden for Kingdom advancement. - Matt. 6:33
3. When your faith, your life or the lives of those you love are challenged. - Esther 4:16
4. When you are in search of light, insight or direction on any issue. - Isa. 58:8
5. When it is corporately proclaimed. - Acts 13:1
6. You fast for routine maintenance of your spiritual authority. - 2 Cor. 11:27, Matt. 17:31
Tofully maximise your fasting season:
1. Define the objective of your fast.
2. Feast on the Word. - Isa. 40:31
3. Pray abundantly in the course of the fast. - Matt. 7:21
4. Maintain minimal distractions. - Gen. 32:24
5. Listen and be on the lookout for instructions. - Isa. 58:8
6. Avoid talking too much, especially when you are fasting. - Luke 10:11
To fully maximise your fasting season:
