 HEAVEN & THE KINGDOM OF GOD [Pt 8]

In scriptures, whenever God wanted to begin with men, He would first of all establish His presence, because His personality is the focal point of the blessing, and not on things. This is why they are many rich people today on the earth who are not blessed, because they do not carry the presence of God.

The blessing of God is the conveyance of His personality as the source, which makes all things possible in Himself. In the garden of Eden, the first Adam received two types of blessings;

1. The presence of God.

2. The empowerment for fruitfulness, and increase in number to fill the earth and subdue it.

Genesis 1:28

[28]Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

Adam departed from the presence of God as a result of sin, and was able to perform what was spoken by God, he gave birth to children, and they was multiplication on the earth in terms of number and they subdued it, but they were not in Eden. 

Cain who was the first born of Adam also departed from the presence of God due to the expression of sin in him, as he killed his brother Abel, when his sacrifice was not honoured by God.

Genesis 4:14-16

[14]Surely You have driven me out this day from the face of the ground; I shall be hidden from Your face; I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond on the earth, and it will happen that anyone who finds me will kill me.”

[15]And the Lord said to him, “Therefore, whoever kills Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold.” And the Lord set a mark on Cain, lest anyone finding him should kill him. 

[16]Then Cain went out from the presence of the Lord and dwelt in the land of Nod on the east of Eden.

However, Cain had descendants on the earth despite him not being in the presence of God. 

THINGS TO NOTE:

1. The multiplication of things on the earth is a spoken declaration by God, which is a spiritual law, but the value of what is multiplied is weighed in line with the presence of God.

2. The blessing is not in multiplication, but the presence of God that causes the multiplication. God can multiply and the devil can also multiply.

3. The value system of the Kingdom of God is the presence of God.
