THE BELIEVER'S RIGHTEOUSNESS IN GOD [Pt 5E] - Awe Hilary
THE BELIEVER'S RIGHTEOUSNESS IN GOD [Pt 5E]
- Awe Hilary
In the previous part of this article, it was stated that there was only one way which led to the Ark, and this symbolises the role Jesus Christ plays, as the only way to God. It is important to note that from the fall of the first Adam till now, God's message to the world has always been for mankind to come to Him through the Way. All prophets of God spoke concerning this Way, which signified that they were all united in the Spirit of God, Who is a key validator of their prophetic calling.
The embodiment of the Ark is a symbolism of the personality of God, Who is the source, strength and refuge for mankind. King David expresses this prophetic insight in the book of Psalms.
Psalms 91:1-2
[1]He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
[2]I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.”
More also, the interior of the Ark represents the presence of God where there is peace and harmony, where creation becomes at peace with each other. In the Ark, were lions, cheetahs, Tigers, Cobras, buffalo's, men, and all manner of dangerous species, but there was no record of the lion trying to eat the monkey, or Noah trying to kill the deer for pepper soup. This is thesame experience captured in the garden of the Lord in Eden, when creation was at peace with each other. This is also symbolic of the life we would live with God in eternity.
However, after Noah and all that came to him has entered into the Ark, God shut it by Himself. This signifies a seal of preservation, which is a typology of the seal received by all whom are saved by God through Jesus Christ. As long as the occupants of the Ark remained under the seal of God, they were protected from the flood which destroyed the earth and everything that lived on it. This typifies the guarantee of our eternal salvation in Jesus Christ, because we have been sealed by God, and we remain sealed when we continue to abide in Him through Christ.
Ephesians 1:13
[13]In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise.
In the story of the Ark, we see the symbolisms of the door into the Ark, which is Jesus Christ, the embodiment of the Ark itself which is God, and the Operation of the Holy Spirit as a seal, which is representative of God closing the door of the Ark.
THINGS TO NOTE:
1. God is a refuge for all, but you can't come to Him without the Way, Who is Jesus Christ, and you can't be sealed by the Holy Spirit if you are not in God through Jesus Christ.
2. In the presence of God, creation is at peace with itself.
3. No matter the storm of life, God is an Ark that shields us from the dangers of the storm and it's consequences. He is the Ark who would save the righteous from the condemnation that would soon befall the unrighteous who have not come into the Ark through the Way, hence despising God's forbearance.
